For those of us that feel that some of today's medications come with too many side effects to take the risk, we begin to search for other options. The reasons to seek alternative treatments is based upon a person's own belief that they do not want such chemicals, toxins, or side effects to incur throughout their body. There are cases that prove that alternative therapies do work, but this isn't to say that a person shouldn't talk to their doctor first and get a professional opinion. It's a tough road to make such decisions, because at the end of it all, a person simply wants to be healed, and they don't want to have to suffer anymore than they already are.
